Well a year has passed, insanly quickly I might add, and it was filled with generally pretty bad news. Personally for me I was lucky and have to say it was a very good year for me and so I figure I'd share a little German tradition with you
For new year, we have a weird tradition, wich basicly is to watch a 30 year old sketch, filmed in english and black & white! How weird is that?!? Anyway, the sketch is called "Dinner for One" and is always aired multiple times during New Years Eve. So for a little laugh and a very odd but great german tradition, just follow the links, for part one and two of the classic.

Part 1: [link]
Part 2: [link]

And for the curious, here some more info on it [link]

Take care und GUTEN RUTSCH!
S3BRA

UPDATE: It's 2007 in Germany and I can say that I arrived savely and now am drunk (bottle of veuve clicquot, very yummy btw!) and smelling of gunpowder from 20 rockets I fired  As prrof I have this little photo below. I wish it was better, but my tripod broke and thats the best I could manage drunk and freehand :lmao: Anyway be save guys, have a great new year 2007 and spend some quality time with your loved ones  I'm gonna go and wait for my handover while I sleep :yum:

Happy Pagan Holiday Folks

Wed Dec 20, 2006, 3:26 PM
  • Mood: Sentimental

  • Drinking: Cough Syrup
Aaaah I love my formerly pagan x-mas holidaze. To paraphrase a line from Apocalypse Now: I love the smell of conifer in the morning :D As an atheist, x-mas is the perfect holiday, the tagged on baby jesus birthday stuff makes this even funnier  You gotta give props to the church to have the guts to turn a pagan fest into their own holiday simply because they couldn't make people stop celebrating it... aaah but I'm digressing.

Sorry I haven't been on dA the last couple of month a lot, but I was just burried with work and actually still am up to my neck in work that needs to be done. Of course this leaves me barely no time for other projects anymore and my last couple of uploads are really the proof that I granted myself a few couple of hours of me time.

It's weird this year, usually I had my x-mas presents for friends and family by the end of november, but this year... well lets say I'll be giving away a lot of gift certificates as I simply didn't have the time to wander through the busy malls hunting for small tokens for the people I care about. The really good part about x-mas though, is that I will get too see friends I haven't seen in a long while, so I'm actually looking forward tot hat, even though I know that I will have to work even on the holidays and new year to manage to keep stuff on shedule.

As for presents, I already treated myself to an early x-mas present this year... a canon ef 70-200mm f4 L lens! What can I say, it's really expensive, but a steal for an L lens and worth every penny. Takes great pictures and I can't wait to find some willing portrait victims ;)

As for my work here on dA, I was actually thinking about putting up some of the work I do for a living here. Not because it's insanely good or anything, but at least I'll have something to post here and a reason to check this site more often. What do you guys think, anybody interested in seeing my boring everday work here on dA?

Well enough babbeling from me. I wish you all very happy holidays with lots of nice people, cool presents and good food :D Take care and be good, you don't want to get on Santas naughty list, do you?!

Yup guys, it's my b-day today and that means I'm offically old now  So I'll be busy mourning my past years and gleefully unwrapping presents ;) Being a devious deviant, I treated myself to my own little present... a gorgeous print from *RavenMacabre :w00t:

Ok I'm outta here, have a great day guys and I'll be back :lmao:

Arrrgh been tagged!

Sun May 7, 2006, 6:43 AM
I have been double tagged by &

Rules: The 1st player of this "game" starts with the topic "6 weird habits/things about yourself" and people who get tagged need to write a journal about their 6 weird habits/things as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next 6 people to be tagged and list their names. Don't forget to leave a comment that says "you are tagged" in their devpage comments and tell them to read yours...

Ok here we go...

  • I'm a very picky eater, for example I don't like tomatoes at all, especially ketchup :chew:

  • I'm an honorary lesbian... don't ask, really long story

  • I go rarely to the cinema, even though I'm a huge movie fan, because I can't stand watching movies dubbed into german. Original languange and subtitles (if I need em) rule! :w00t:

  • When I was a lot younger I was a total pyromaniac...

  • I can roll up the sides of my toung and form an 'O' with it... try it, not everyone can do it :shurg::yum:

  • Even though I'm a guy I don't like soccer/football at all... you can only get me to stay and watch if its a world cup game and you get me drunk :lmao:

  • Now I tag the first six people to read this :evillaugh:
